Box Photo Laboratory Yerevan

Yerevan turns 2806 but there’s still so much unseen.
Through all the archives we’ve scanned,
this one is the most unique.
It was found while preparing an exhibition for .koshe Dzen Festival,
from the personal archive of .pan.yan —
a photograph of Artist, Architect Van Khachatur, Yerevan, 1960s.

Darkroom printing is the one and only complete process in analog photography — the original way of turning negatives into real photographs.

We are opening one-on-one darkroom sessions.

Choose an available hour from the schedule

Bring your own black and white film negative (printing is possible only from B/W)

Create and take home your own 20 × 25 cm (8×10 inch) print

Your assistant and workshop lead in darkroom will be

20,000 AMD per session (paper and chemistry included)

It is possible to add +1 person to the session as a observer

Each workshop ends with incredible results and a fresh wave of passion for film photography in our participants. We’re proud of this journey and happy to keep sharing it.

We opened the Garage but never really talked about what makes it special.
Here it is: it’s fast, easy, and comfortable. Located on Saryan Street, always just five minutes away from you. We also wanted a very special interior concept something you’ll remember when you think back to the fact that it used to be a garage.

We also make sure to always have good books here, rotating them from Vajrapar so there’s always something interesting and inspiring for you to discover.

And soon — very soon — we’ll launch our main highlight: document photos and 10×15 prints.

Ever wanted to try film photography?
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll get a real feel for shooting and developing film — no experience needed.

We’ll talk about the rise, fall, and comeback of analog photography, learn how film cameras work, go on a photo walk together, then head back to the lab to develop and scan your film.

Just show up — we’ve got you covered with cameras, film, and all the materials you’ll need.

In the legendary garage that once housed our friends , we’re opening a new branch.

Here, you can quickly drop off your film in a more convenient location, buy rolls and cameras, and most excitingly take passport photos.

We warmly invite you to join us on Saturday, June 21, to open the Garage doors together for the first time, enjoy coffee by vlvm, and develop your film for free.
