Remembering NOPA 2025.
For one week, Yerevan Botanical Garden became a place for listening, gathering, and sonic exploration.
We installed an acousmonium among the garden's pathways, hosting performances and experiments in sound, while the wider program unfolded across workshops, listening sessions, and encounters throughout the city.
We danced through the opening club night, explored urban soundscapes, learned together, and reflected on how sound can shape our experience of place, memory, and collective presence.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Մեկ շաբաթ շարունակ Երևանի բուսաբանական այգին դարձավ լսելու, հավաքվելու և ձայնային հետազոտության վայր։
Մենք տեղադրեցինք ակուսմոնիում այգու արահետներում՝ հյուրընկալելով կատարումներ և ձայնային փորձարկումներ, մինչդեռ ավելի լայն ծրագիրը ծավալվում էր քաղաքի տարբեր հատվածներում՝ աշխատարանների, ունկնդրման սեսիաների, զրույցների և հանդիպումների միջոցով։
Մենք պարեցինք բացման ակումբային գիշերը, ուսումնասիրեցինք քաղաքային ձայնապատկերները, սովորեցինք միասին և խորհեցինք այն մասին, թե ինչպես կարող է ձայնը ձևավորել տեղի, հիշողության և հավաքական ներկայության մեր փորձառությունը։
Շնորհակալություն բոլորին, ովքեր միացան մեզ։

NOPA-ի երկրորդ թողարկման ընթացքում մենք անցկացրինք «Տիեզերական ակադեմիա» եռօրյա աշխատաժողովը, որը տեղի ունեցավ Երևանի տարբեր վայրերում՝ .co-ի հետ համատեղ։
Մասնակիցների հետ միասին մենք ուսումնասիրեցինք, թե արդյոք ձայնը կարող է մեզ առաջնորդել աշխարհում, և թե ինչպես է լսելու պրակտիկան բացում իրականության նոր ձևեր։ Այն երաժշտական արտադրության դասընթաց չէր, այլ խորը լսողության, դաշտային ձայնագրության, կոլեկտիվ կատարման և քննադատական մտածողության պրակտիկա։
Շնորհակալություն բոլոր մասնակիցներին, ովքեր կիսվեցին այս փորձի վերաբերյալ իրենց մտահոգություններով։
Աշխատաժողովը կազմակերպել էին Յան Սենտ Վերները և Միխայել Ակստալերը ։
During the second edition of NOPA, we held a three-day workshop Space Academy which took place across different locations in Yerevan in collaboration with .co.
Together with the participants, we explored whether sound can guide us through the world, and how the practice of listening opens new forms of reality. It was not a music production course, but a practice of deep listening, field recording, collective performance, and critical reflection.
Thanks to all the participants who shared their reflection on this experience.
The workshop was curated by Jan St. Werner and Michael Akstaller .
