Согласно популярной мифологии, корнем «Хндзореск» является слово «яблоко». Старый Хндзореск расположен примерно в 3 км к востоку от запада. на правом и левом склонах длинного оврага, которые в свою очередь прорезаны глубокими оврагами. Ущелья разделены горными хребтами, склоны которых поднимаются на 100-120 м. высота скал. Сам Хндзореск - самый старый джахлук, история которого насчитывает несколько веков.

Гора Арарат является символом Армении. Он изображен на гербе страны. Ной приземлился на гору Арарат на своем ковчеге после того, как воды мира потопились: «И упал ковчег в седьмой месяц, в семнадцатый день месяца, на горы Араратские» (Бытие 8: 4).
Горный массив Арарат состоит из двух потухших вулканов: Большой Арарат (по-армянски Масис, 5165 м) и Малый Арарат (по-армянски Сис, 3927 м).
Однако в настоящее время горы нет в Армении. Находится на территории современной Турции. Он был перемещен в Турцию в 1921 году по Карскому договору. Современная Республика Армения не признает Карский договор.

Mount Ararat is the symbol of Armenia. It is depicted on the emblem of the country. Noah landed on Mount Ararat on his ark after the waters of the world Flood subsided "And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat" (Genesis 8:4).
Ararat Mountain range consists of two extinct volcanoes: Great Ararat (in Armenian Masis, 5165 m) and Small Ararat (in Armenian Sis, 3927 m).
However, at present, the mountain is not in Armenia. It is in the territory of modern Turkey. It was moved to Turkey in 1921 by the Treaty of Kars. The modern Republic of Armenia doesn’t recognize the Treaty of Kars.

RU 🇷🇺 | Барельеф в монастыре #Нораванк является одним из редких изображений Бога Отца в армянской религиозной архитектуре. На верхнем фасаде церкви Сурб Карапет Бог изображен в реалистичном образе бородатого мужчины. Правой рукой Он благословляет распятие, а в левой держит голову Иоанна Крестителя с парящим над ней голубем.

EN 🇬🇧 | The engraving of God at Monastery is one of the rare depictions of God the Father in Armenian religious architecture. On the upper façade of Surb Karapet Church, God is engraved in a human form, as a bearded man, blessing the Crucifix with his right hand while holding in his left hand the head of John the Baptist, with a dove above it.
