We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on the projects of a large American company, Movie and TV Series streaming platform.
⠀
Job responsibilities:
🔹 Managing customer infrastructure based on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
🔹 Designing application-specific infrastructure pieces, e.g. when adding AWS WAF to ELB/Cloudfront
🔹 Infrastructure provision automation using mainly Terraform and, sometimes, CloudFormation
🔹 Managing permissions, including cross-account access, using IAM and Security Groups
🔹 Setting up CI/CD based on Atlassian Bamboo - creating and configuring build and deployment plans for various components (Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, etc.)
🔹 Assisting in timely troubleshoot of technical issues
🔹 Communication and messaging in English

Requirements:
🔹 Technical English conversational and writing skills
🔹 Experience with any Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Cloud Development Kit or similar
🔹 Basic understanding of the following AWS services: Elastic Beanstalk, ECR (Elastic Container Repository) and ECS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, VPC, EC2 / EBS / ELB / ASG / Security Group, IAM, S3, WAF (Web Application Firewall), Route53, SNS & SQS
🔹 Experience working in a Linux environment and with the relevant command line tools
🔹 Hands-on experience with Git
🔹 Hands-on experience with Docker
🔹 Proficiency in any scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, Python, PHP, etc.)

Nice-to-have:
🔹 Experience working with any logging and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, Datadog, etc.) to identify problems
🔹 Experience with Nginx/Apache configuration
🔹 Basic knowledge of SSL/TLS, encryption and digital certificates
🔹 Knowledge of OSI, TCP and UDP, as well as general principles of data communication
🔹 Basic understanding of SQL queries
🔹 Experience working with Bamboo or any other CI/CD tool
🔹 Knowledge of any of the following AWS services (DynamoDB, Lambda, Batch, API Gateway, Secrets Manager & Systems Manager, Key Management Service).

We thanked the government representatives for their hospitality and raised our most significant questions. Deputy Prime Minister Matevosyan noted that they have long been aware of most of the raised problems and they are working towards the possible solutions.
