What a rollercoaster of emotions this Ramadan has been while creating these episodes. Both of my parents faced critical health issues, occupying much of my mental space during this time. While filming, I received news that my father might be in his final stage, and I prepared to leave mid-shoot. Alhamdulillah, he pulled through and has made it through Ramadan with us. 🤲🏾

Honestly, my family, friends, these episodes, and the fundraising effort have been my lifeline, preventing a mental collapse. ❤️ Initially, donations came in slowly, and I was uncertain we would even reach $10,000. Yet, as always, my worries were unfounded. Although we didn’t hit the $60,000 mark, we came incredibly close.

I plan to keep the fundraiser active throughout 2026 until we reach that goal and secure the piece of land we have in mind.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated, those who intended to but couldn’t, those who shared the videos, and everyone who offered words of encouragement. Huge thanks to the entire team at the World Academy of Development for allowing me to be part of such a beautiful journey. 🤲🏾

The girls always have a special treat for me before my departure and it always involves them feeling sad and crying so this time I decided to go out with a laughing bang with no room for sadness. A big shout out to my cousin .ahmed.zaki for being with me throughout the trip and helping me behind the scenes. Ali was with me back in 2022 on my first visit to the academy and has seen their growth first hand. Plus he’s a fantastic singer.

I took the girls to some land to show them what we are working towards, buying a piece of land where the foundation will be laid for the new academy, though it was very windy and cold we had fun and it gave them an idea of the scale towards which we are working.
