Two years ago, we set out to change how education works in Armenia. Not with more lectures, more slides, or more tests—but with real-world problem-solving, collaboration, and learning by doing. We believed that education should prepare people for real challenges, not just teach them theories they forget a week later.

BuildUp started as an experiment. Could we create a space where students didn’t just consume knowledge but built something real? The answer was a resounding YES. Students worked in teams, tackled real customer problems, and left not just with certificates, but with actual products, fundamental skills, and transformed careers.

But as with any bold experiment, we hit obstacles. In 2023, Armenia’s financial crisis shook us hard. Funding dried up, and BuildUp had to pause. It felt like everything we had worked for might disappear.

And then, something incredible happened. The community stepped up. People believed in what we built together, and through a GoFundMe campaign, we got the support we needed to survive. That support gave us the chance to rethink, rebuild, and come back stronger.

And today, we’re back. 🎉

BuildUp Armenia is re-launching its programs, and this time, we’re going even further. With our new AI-powered learning assistant, Pathfinder, we’re giving students a fully personalized, problem-based learning experience.
No more passively watching videos or reading endless materials—students will solve real challenges, get real experience, and build real products that matter.

And the best part? It will always be free for Armenian citizens.
That’s our commitment. As BuildUp expands worldwide, we promise that Armenians will always have access to top-tier education at no cost. Because we believe that talent is everywhere—it just needs the right environment to grow.
