1300 households in Faryab Province were supported through Cash‑for‑Work (CFW) opportunities implemented by OCHR with funding support from FAO Afghanistan, helping vulnerable households sustain their income and meet essential needs during a challenging period.

Through this initiative, community members in Pashtun Kot and Khwaja Sabz‑Posh districts worked together to construct check dams, water ponds, and protective trenches. These community‑based assets improve local water management, enhance agricultural productivity, and strengthen resilience against climate‑related shocks. The infrastructure created not only supports participating families but also delivers long‑term benefits to the wider community.
