the Knotted gun at has a connection?

The Knotted gun is an international symbol of peace and non-violence. It was originally created after John Lennon's tragic death by his friend Swedish Artist Carl Frederk Reutersward in 1980. It was to honor the singer’s vision of a peaceful world.

The iconic sculpture is of a large gun, the barrel of which is tied in a knot, symbolizing that it cannot shoot. It was gifted to the United Nations by Luxembourg in 1988.

It was originally placed at the Strawberry Fields memorial in New York City’s Central Park, across the street from where Lennon lived. He was a public advocate for peace and non-violence in many of his songs. In 1988, the Government of Luxembourg bought the sculpture and donated it to the UN.

As we remember John Lennon’s birthday today, let’s work together to choose hope and prosperity for everyone, everywhere.
