Check dams are small, low structures that slow down the water flow and prevent soil erosion. They also help recharge groundwater and create green spaces for wildlife and people.

HRDA Social team conducted emergency response visit to Bagran District Helmand Province.
Baghran District which is located in north of Helmand province, in the aforementioned district AWD / Cholera cases are reported during first day of Eid, therefore HRDA team conducted an emergency visit along with DoPH, and funded by UNICEF. During five days stays the team contributed to control the outbreak namely in Geeri and Baghorgak villages, meanwhile the team arranged AWD awareness sessions for the community residents, source water quality test is taken, and essential supplies are distributed which are stated below:

It is also worth mentioning that the determined services of HRDA team which commenced from the first day of Eid to Bagran District have been appreciated by the Helmand province Director of Public Health.
