Thanks for an awesome 2021! I didn’t offer many releases but I’m more than happy with the results and the bands I worked with.

There’s a lot of upcoming stuff over the next few months. This January I’ll begin the “New Blood” section (this is a working title for now) which will be introducing a ton of new acts between now and February.

In the meantime grab yourself a steal over at the site, there’s limited quantities on a lot of cassettes!

If you had told me that from 2 years ago the label would still be going, I’d of probably laughed and there’s plenty of reasons why. Yet here Harness still stands and I have nothing but you wonderful people to thank! To the people who continue to support this, spread the word and keep purchasing the content that comes out I am extremely grateful. To the friends I’ve made along the way, to the labels who consistently have my back, thank you!

I’m sure you’re all wondering why Ralph Wiggum is featured here, Ralph was originally an idea I came up with for the Decoy release, it was politely rejected and I always felt that it deserved a bit of attention, Ralph is Harness.

I guess I’ll see you all again next year to do the same!

Welcome to the new era of Harness

Starting of our transition into alternative/grunge/shoegaze; I’m incredibly excited to welcome Holy Figures and All under heaven to the family.

Holy Figures from North Carolina are a 3 piece post hardcore/grunge band, having worked with our friends New Morality Zine I’m delighted to be giving their 4 track EP a EU cassette release. If you haven’t checked it out you should, NMZ will have lathes real soon.

All Under Heaven from New Jersey are the hottest thing to come out in 2021, formed by members of the hardcore band Shackled the boys wanted to do something different, Collider is a 4 track shoegaze/grunge classic, bringing vibes that take you back to the early 10’s of Title Fight and early Basement. Our new friends at Sunday Drive Records are covering the US press so you should check that out!

After months of being in discussions I’m extremely excited to announce Long Way Down to the Harness Family!

The southeast screamo band from the states dropped three_final_notes in September 2020 and had immediate sell out physical releases with Larry Records and Jean Scene Creamers

Harness is happy to be giving this a European Exclusive with a special alt rip cover of the 1977 horror film Suspiria. To conicide with the release will also be marbled swirl tapes, both covers will have different colours.

The release will drop this Sunday 28th March at 6pm (GMT) on the Harness webstore.
