In shadows deep, where sorrows dwell,
A heart once bright, now casts a spell.
With poison coursing through their veins,
They cling to bitterness, to past remains.

A loved one lost, a soul laid bare,
One would think they'd pause, reflect, and care.
Yet rigid thoughts like iron chains,
Hold tight the heart amidst the pains.

In mourning's grip, they seem to stay,
While time moves on, they turn away.
The darkness swells, a heavy shroud,
As kindness fades beneath the cloud.

Oh, how I wish for light to break,
To remove the veil, for healing's sake.
That through the grief, a spark might glow,
To guide them gently towards the flow.

For life still whispers, soft and clear,
Of love and hope, of drawing near.
May they one day realize their plight,
And find the strength to seek the light.
