Hi, my name is Leah Comedido, and I am 49 years old. I am a college instructor, an entrepreneur, and an interior and fashion designer. I am an active person, a runner, and an adventurer. Recently, however, I have been experiencing setbacks that have slowed down everything I do. I gained almost 10 kg, became lazy, experienced brain fog, short-term memory problems, sleeping issues, anxiety, body aches, a very low attention span, severe sinusitis, and allergies that I had never experienced until I reached my mid-forties. Even muscle recovery after working out now takes ages.
For someone who has always been active and has never been hospitalized since birth (thank God for this healthy body), it has been difficult for me to accept my condition.
Recently, I consulted a nutritionist and a naturopath. She explained my condition to me — its causes, the effects of my age, perimenopause, environmental factors, and many more. While undergoing some diagnostic tests, I started juicing. I researched what would be best for my condition and which ingredients to avoid. I also introduced my mom and my sisters to juicing. My mom has heart and thyroid problems, so I try to curate something for her.
I am excited to share my juicing journey with you in 3 months (August).
