في مبادرة تجمع بين الإبداع والاستدامة، نجح طلبة جامعة زايد في تطوير جهاز مبتكر يحوّل المناشف والأقمشة الفندقية المستخدمة إلى ورق صديق للبيئة، يمكن إعادة استخدامه في مجالات الفنون والتصميم والمشاريع الإبداعية.
وبالشراكة مع قطاع الضيافة، تسهم هذه المبادرة في تعزيز مبادئ الاقتصاد الدائري، والحد من مخلّفات المنسوجات، مع إلهام رؤى جديدة في مجال الابتكار المستدام.
يجسد هذا المشروع كيف يمكن للأفكار الطلابية أن تدمج بين الوعي البيئي والإبداع، لتحقيق أثر ملموس يقود نحو تغيير إيجابي حقيقي.
Transforming waste into creativity and sustainability, Zayed University students have developed an innovative device that converts discarded hotel towels and fabrics into eco-friendly paper that can be used for art, design, and creative projects.
By partnering with the hospitality sector, the initiative promotes circular economy principles while reducing textile waste and inspiring new approaches to sustainable innovation.
The project highlights how student-led ideas can combine environmental awareness, creativity, and real-world impact to drive meaningful change.
شتلاتٌ صغيرة، وأثرٌ مستدام.
في إطار موسم شجرة الشعلة، المبادرة التي أطلقها سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، شاركت جامعة زايد بلدية دبي الاحتفاء بالاستدامة والمسؤولية البيئية، من خلال توزيع شتلات شجرة الشعلة على موظفي الجامعة.
وتضم جامعة زايد في حرمها الجامعي بدبي أكثر من 130 شجرة من شجرة الشعلة، وتواصل دعمها للمبادرات التي تسهم في بناء مستقبل أكثر اخضراراً واستدامة.
ومن خلال هذه المبادرة، شارك الموظفون في جهدٍ جماعي لرعاية إرثٍ حي ينمو ويزدهر، ويواصل إثراء مجتمعاتنا للأجيال قادمة.
Small seedlings, lasting impact.
As part of FlameTreeSeason, an initiative by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Zayed University joined Dubai Municipality in celebrating sustainability and environmental stewardship through the distribution of Flame Tree seedlings to university employees.
Home to more than 130 Flame Trees at its Dubai campus, Zayed University continues to support initiatives that contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.
Through this initiative, employees became part of a collective effort to nurture a living legacy, one that will continue to grow, flourish, and enrich our communities for generations to come.
استضافت جامعة زايد التصفيات الإقليمية في دولة الإمارات لمسابقة الجسر الصيني 2026 لإتقان اللغة الصينية، بمشاركة أكثر من 500 طالب وطالبة من مختلف المؤسسات التعليمية في الدولة، وذلك ضمن واحدة من أكبر المسابقات المتخصصة في اللغة الصينية على مستوى دولة الإمارات.
وشهدت الفعالية حضور سعادة تسنغ جيشين، سفير جمهورية الصين الشعبية لدى دولة الإمارات، إلى جانب عدد من كبار المسؤولين والشركاء الاستراتيجيين، بما يعكس أهمية تعزيز الروابط الثقافية والتعليمية بين دولة الإمارات وجمهورية الصين الشعبية.
وتواصل المسابقة دورها كمنصة مرموقة لاكتشاف وتنمية المواهب الشابة، وتعزيز التميّز اللغوي والتبادل الثقافي، بما يسهم في بناء جسور المعرفة والتفاهم والتعاون بين الثقافات.
Zayed University hosted the UAE Regional Finals of the 2026 Chinese Bridge Chinese Language Proficiency Competition, bringing together more than 500 students from educational institutions across the UAE in one of the country's largest Chinese language competitions.
The event was attended by H.E. ZENG Jixin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the UAE, alongside senior officials and strategic partners, highlighting the importance of strengthening cultural and educational ties between the UAE and China.
The competition continues to serve as a platform for young talent, promoting language excellence and cultural exchange while building bridges of knowledge, understanding, and collaboration between cultures.

استضافت جامعة زايد في حرمها الجامعي بدبي المرحلة الثانية والنهائية من التحكيم في مسابقة "كأس الذكاء الاصطناعي الآمن 2025"، بحضور نخبة من أبرز المبتكرين الشباب في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي والروبوتات والعلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والفنون والرياضيات.
وشهدت المسابقة مشاركة واسعة، حيث جمعت:
• أكثر من 1,500 فريق مسجل من مختلف أنحاء الدولة
• 60 فريقاً متأهلاً إلى النهائيات من المدارس والجامعات
• أكثر من 250 مشاركاً قدّموا مشاريعهم مباشرة أمام لجنة التحكيم
• 14 خبيراً في لجنة التحكيم من مؤسسات وقطاعات رائدة
وأتاحت هذه المرحلة للمشاركين فرصة عرض أفكارهم المبتكرة وتقديم حلولهم أمام نخبة من الخبراء من مؤسسات بارزة، من بينها صندوق الوطن، و سايبر إي 71، وموانئ دبي العالمية.
نهنئ جميع المشاركين على ما قدّموه من إبداع وشغف والتزام بالمساهمة في تشكيل مستقبل التكنولوجيا.
Zayed University was proud to host the second and final judging phase of the Safe AI Cup 2025 at Dubai Campus, welcoming some of the brightest young innovators in AI, Robotics, and STEAM.
The competition brought together:
• 1,500+ registered teams nationwide
• 60 finalist teams from schools and universities
• 250+ participants presenting their projects live
• 14 expert judges from leading organizations and industries
Participants had the opportunity to showcase their groundbreaking ideas and pitch innovative solutions to experts from organizations including Sandouk Alwatan, CyberE71, and DP World.
Congratulations to all participants for their creativity, passion, and dedication to shaping the future of technology.

فاز مشروع حلول الإضاءة الذكية بتقنية LED بجائزة «المشروع الأكثر ابتكاراً» في منتدى أبحاث طلبة البكالوريوس السادس لكلية العلوم الطبيعية والصحية 2025.
ويأتي المشروع ضمن مبادرة الحرم الجامعي المستدام في جامعة زايد، حيث طوّرت كلية العلوم الطبيعية والصحية حلول إضاءة موفرة للطاقة تسهم في خفض استهلاك الكهرباء، وتحسين جودة الإضاءة، وتعزيز الراحة البصرية في مختلف مرافق الحرم الجامعي.
كما عُرض أثر المشروع على المستوى الوطني والدولي من خلال مشاركته في معرض ومؤتمر أبوظبي الدولي للبترول «أديبك 2025»، والمؤتمر الدولي للتقدم في الطاقة النظيفة 2026 (ICACER)، بما يعكس دور الطلبة في تحويل البحث التطبيقي إلى حلول عملية تدعم الاستدامة والابتكار.

The Smart LED Lighting Solutions project won the “Most Innovative Project” award at the 6th Undergraduate Research Forum of the College of Natural and Health Sciences 2025.
The project is part of Zayed University’s Sustainable Campus Initiative, through which the College of Natural and Health Sciences developed energy-efficient lighting solutions aimed at reducing electricity consumption, improving lighting quality, and enhancing visual comfort across various campus facilities.
The project’s impact was also showcased on both national and international levels through its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2025) and the International Conference on Advances in Clean Energy Research 2026 (ICACER), reflecting the role of students in transforming applied research into practical solutions that support sustainability and innovation.

بمشاركة أكثر من 85 طالباً وطالبة، وباستخدام 360 قارورة بلاستيكية مُعاد تدويرها، نجح طلبة جامعة زايد بإشراف أعضاء هيئة التدريس في تحويل النفايات البلاستيكية إلى وحدات بناء صديقة للبيئة، ضمن مبادرة «الطوب البيئي» التي تُوّجت بإنشاء جدار فني مستدام.
وتجسد المبادرة نموذجاً تعليمياً يجمع بين الوعي البيئي والتعلّم بالممارسة والتعبير الإبداعي، بما يمكّن الطلبة من ابتكار حلول عملية ومستدامة والإسهام بفاعلية في حماية البيئة وتعزيز ثقافة الاستدامة.

With the participation of more than 85 students and using 360 recycled plastic bottles, Zayed University students, under the supervision of faculty members, successfully transformed plastic waste into eco-friendly building blocks through the “Eco-Bricks” initiative, which culminated in the creation of a sustainable artistic wall.
The initiative reflects an educational model that combines environmental awareness, hands-on learning, and creative expression, empowering students to develop practical and sustainable solutions while actively contributing to environmental protection and promoting a culture of sustainability.
