🔭 + 🐠

Hi my neighbours... I am watching you.😁👀

Telescope fish (family Giganturidae):

Fun fact : Their most striking feature is their large, forward-pointing tubular eyes. These lenses act like high-powered binoculars, helping them spot silhouettes of prey above them in the pitch-black twilight zone of the deep ocean.

I can fly 😍😘

Dolphins can leap anywhere from 15 to 30 feet (about 4.5 to 9 meters) into the air, particularly when gaining momentum or performing in marine parks.

Sea +🐒

Sea-Monkeys (brine shrimp): 🦐

They come back to life from a "death-like" state: Sea-Monkey eggs can undergo a process called cryptobiosis (or hidden life). In this state, the embryo completely halts its metabolic activity, dries out, and can survive for years in a cyst-like shell without water, oxygen, or food. The moment they are dropped back into salt water, they rehydrate and hatch within 24 hours!

How fish manage to stay afloat. 🐠

The mechanism: Fish possess an internal air sac referred to as a swim bladder, which prevents them from needing to swim continuously.

Depth adjustment: When a fish goes deeper, increased water pressure forces additional gas from its blood into the bladder, whereas swimming upward releases this extra gas so the fish can float with ease.

DO YOU KNOW 🦈

The great white shark 🦈

Sharks have powerful jaws and double rows of razor sharp teeth.

When the outer row wears out or breaks, the inner row moves forward to replace them.

Bowhead whales are estimated to eat up to 100,000 kg of krill a year.
