HOW STRETCH CEILINGS WERE INVENTED?

In the 60s of the twentieth century, the designer was decorating ✨ the showcase for the Barrisol company, that was manufacturing the aluminum profiles.

He decided to be creative and pulled a fabric on the aluminum profile for decoration. It turned out to be a great idea 👍. Colleagues liked a new way of finishing, and started to apply it in their work.

Polyvinyl chloride 🧪, obtained in the 19th century by the French scientist Victor Regnault, was used as a material.

Soon several variations of PVC material were created – matte, satin and glossy. Hence the name "French ceilings".

People immediately fell in love with new ways of ceiling decorating 💥, because of the variety of colors, the speed of installation and the ability to retain water in case of leaks.

Later, the same material began to be manufactured in other European and Asian countries, and the distribution of production across several countries allowed to reduce the price 💰.

MYTHS ABOUT STRETCH CEILINGS

1️⃣ Myth #1 — "High price"
The service life of the stretch ceiling is from 15 years. During this period of time, any other ceiling - gypsum or foam, will have to be reconstructed from 4 to 6 times or completely replaced at least 1-2 times.🧐 Thus, the price of a stretch ceiling is at least 2 times less than the price for ceilings made of other materials.

❓ WHAT KIND OF STRETCH CEILINGS EXIST?
