Phonics ai Bingo

The children had a blast playing Phonics ai Bingo today! They listened carefully to the ai words being called out and worked hard to identify and match the correct ‘ai’ sound on their bingo cards. This fun and interactive activity helped develop their phonics skills, listening skills, and confidence in recognising words containing the ‘ai’ digraph. Everyone was excited to participate and celebrated their successes throughout the game.

Travel Wobble Balancing Game

Our little explorers had so much fun with our Travel Wobble Balancing Game! As they carefully balanced the astronauts, they were developing their concentration, hand-eye coordination, balance, and fine motor skills.

This engaging activity also encouraged problem-solving, patience, and perseverance as the children worked out how to keep the wobble board steady. Through play, they explored the concept of travel while building confidence and essential physical skills.

Story of the Day: Monster Surprise

Today, we enjoyed reading the story Monster Surprise. The children listened carefully and were excited to discover the different monsters throughout the story.

For our Arts and Crafts activity, we created our own unique monsters! The children took turns rolling a dice and choosing different monster features, including the body, hair, eyes, nose, and mouth. It was wonderful to see their creativity and imagination as each monster turned out completely different and special. The children had lots of fun designing their monsters and talking about the features they selected.

Stomp, stamp, and create!

Our little explorers had a ROAR-some time engaging in sensory and creative play by using dinosaur toys dipped in paint to create colourful dinosaur footprints and tracks!

This fun hands-on activity helped develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and early mark-making skills while encouraging imagination and exploration through play.

Our little learners enjoyed a magical Fairy Tale themed colouring activity on the wall!

Colouring while standing and using big colouring strokes is a great way to build and strengthen hand and arm muscles, improve hand-eye coordination, and develop better control needed for future writing skills.

This fun activity also encouraged the children to practise their pencil grip, develop concentration, and gain confidence in making marks and early writing movements while exploring their creativity.

Learning through play and movement makes every activity even more exciting!
