Back in 2012 at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, My final-year project was a homemade 3D printer RepRap Pakistan, I printed a whistle which did not blow... Not in my wildest dreams I ever thought 3D printing could do this in 13 years! 🥳

It was a pleasure to be invited as a speaker in CW Tech Con 2026 in a panel discussion with Yousuf Fakhruddin (Fakhruddin Properties) & Naji Atallah (Autodesk)
The topic couldn’t have been more timely: “The New Digital Stack - What Actually Belongs on a Construction Project Today.”
We’re in a tech-heavy era, but adoption doesn’t always equal value. Our conversation cut through the noise on some real questions the industry is grappling with:
🔹 Which tools are truly non-negotiable vs. which ones are just adding noise?
🔹 What does a minimum viable tech stack actually look like in 2026?
🔹 Why is integration still the hardest problem in construction & manufacturing.. and is AI finally helping?
My take: the biggest misconception in our industry is that more technology equals better outcomes. The teams winning right now aren’t the ones with the longest list of tools, they’re the ones who’ve been ruthless about what actually moves cost, timeline, and quality.
Grateful to be in a room with practitioners who are asking the right questions, not just chasing the next shiny platform.
