The Weight of Reason

We spend our lives building walls of logic, convinced that "knowing" is the same as "seeing." We’ve traded the infinite horizon of wonder for the narrow lens of the practical.

The child sees a kingdom in a cardboard box; the genius sees a universe in a mathematical ripple; the madman sees the ghosts we are too afraid to acknowledge. They all share a secret: they haven’t yet let the world shrink to the size of their own cynicism.

Our tragedy isn't that we think too much, but that we feel too little. We analyze the magic until it’s just mechanics, and we hesitate at the door of the impossible because we’re afraid of looking foolish. But perhaps the greatest folly of all is living a life so "rational" that there is no room left for the unbelievable.

Stop measuring the world with a ruler that’s too short to reach your soul. Lose your mind a little, and find your heart.

Maybe dating is easy for them or their progress in the gym seems to come effortlessly. In any domain, there is always another life that shimmers more than your own.

But comparison is a poor use of energy.
