RTA inspects manufacturing of train equipment in Poland for Route 2020

A technical delegation from Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has visited Alstom’s train manufacturing establishment in Poland to examine the manufacturing of equipment used for Route 2020 project trains.

“The aim of this visit was to ensure compliance with the highest standards of quality in the manufacturing of key components of Route 2020.

"The visit also aimed to ensure the quality of materials in use matches the specifications and requirements of the project,” said Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Younes, CEO of Rail Agency, RTA.

Beema has launched the GCC region’s first pay-per-kilometre motor insurance service

Beema gives customers cashback after one year based on the distances they drive.

If, over the course of one year, a motorist has driven less than 20,000km, they can receive up to 25% cashback. The kilometre reading is taken annually from the vehicle’s odometer, so customers’ journeys will not be tracked regularly by Beema.

To submit an odometer reading, customers can either upload a Tasjeel certificate, or can be visited to record their vehicle's odometer. Cashback amounts are based on kilometres driven.

Regardless of the distance they drive, customers will never pay more than their original quote.

Beema is a joint venture of ENOC and BCG Digital Ventures, and in partnership with AXA.

Titan Watches unveils new ‘Create Your Moment’ campaign

Audi combines e-scooter with skateboard

With a new e-scooter concept, Audi is responding to the urban trend towards multi-modal mobility.

The Audi e-tron Scooter, combining the advantages of the electric scooter and the skateboard, is designed for sporty riders.

To be transported by car, bus or train, the 12kg e-scooter can be folded up and conveniently stored in the back of the car, or if preferred pulled like a trolley.

The Audi e-tron Scooter stands out thanks to its handling, which is like surfing waves. The rider has one hand free, and so is able to look around and give hand signals.

You will have to wait until late 2020 to get your hands and feet on the Audi e-tron Scooter as production and sales will only begin next year.
