RTA just announced a new upgrade for one of the busiest areas in Dubai 🛣️ and the numbers are big:

— 11 km of bridges and tunnels
— 7+ major intersections redesigned
— Serving over 2 million residents
— Connecting key areas across the city

Some routes will go from 20 minutes to just 6 minutes

✔️ Al Wasl Road: -50%
✔️ Al Safa Street: 12 → 3 minutes
Capacity today: ~6,000–8,000 vehicles/hour
After upgrade: up to 16,000 vehicles/hour

Looks like something that will make daily life here much easier!

Dubai is planning its most ambitious metro 🚇⚜️expansion yet, and it’s underground: the Gold Line 🤓

— 42 km fully underground
— 18 stations
— ~AED 34 billion ($9.3bn) investment
— Expected launch: 2032

It will be Dubai’s first fully underground metro line, connecting 15 key areas across the city.
— Coverage: ~1.5 million residents
— Expected ridership: 465,000 passengers per day

📍Exact station locations are not yet confirmed, but the key areas are already known

Dubai is moving closer to launching air taxis 🤓The city’s first air taxi station has been completed near Dubai International Airport (DXB), with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum confirming the site is now ready.

The project is part of Dubai’s plan to introduce electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, with operations expected to begin in 2026.

Planned routes include:
✔️DXB ↔ Downtown
✔️DXB ↔ Palm Jumeirah
✔️DXB ↔ Dubai Marina

— First phase: 4 vertiports (DXB, Downtown, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina)
— Speed: up to ~320 km/h
— DXB → Palm Jumeirah: ~10–12 minutes

The DXB station will serve as one of the main hubs in a wider network of vertiports planned across the city.
