Securex South Africa 2026 has come to an end 🇿🇦

Over the three exciting days of the exhibition, the Pilot Telematics team had the opportunity to meet with many integrators, security professionals, and technology companies from South Africa and neighboring countries.

🚀The event was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and insightful discussions about the future of telematics, video telematics, and IoT.

It was inspiring to meet professionals who are looking beyond traditional solutions and exploring new ways to create more value for their customers.

Last week, after Securex South Africa, we hosted our workshop “Grow Revenue Beyond Basic GPS Tracking”

The discussion wasn’t about platform features or hardware.
Instead, we focused on a question many telematics businesses are facing today:
How do you grow when basic GPS tracking is becoming a commodity?

Together with our partners, we explored how existing fleets can become the foundation for higher-value services — from delivery visibility and route compliance to AI-powered analytics, operational control, resource monitoring, and industry-specific solutions.

One idea resonated throughout the day:

🚀 A great day in Nairobi at our Practical Telematics Workshop.

No theory — just real setups, real use cases, and open discussions. We went through how telematics is actually used in operations: fuel control, delivery conditions, route compliance, and equipment monitoring.

What made it especially valuable was the level of engagement — lots of questions, real scenarios, and honest discussions with integrators.

😋 Two intense days at have just wrapped up.

We spent most of our time not pitching, but listening. Talking to integrators who are already deep in the market — dealing with price pressure, fighting for margins, and looking for ways to move beyond basic tracking. That topic came up again and again.

We also met new teams from across East Africa who are just entering telematics, trying to understand where the real business is — hardware, software, or services.

And, of course, we had long catch-ups with our existing partners — discussing real cases: fuel control setups, video deployments, and how these solutions are actually sold to end clients.

Thank you to everyone we had the chance to meet — we truly appreciate your time and openness.
