Every project represents new skills learned, challenges overcome, and that wonderful feeling of saying, "I made this!"
As our current crochet club term slowly comes to an end, we're already looking ahead to a summer full of yarn, creativity, and colourful projects.

✨ We’re looking for a Sewing & Crochet Instructor to join our team! ✨
ThreadWerk is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate, hands-on sewing & crochet instructor to join our creative community.
🧵 Sewing & Crochet Instructor – Based in Dubai
You'll be teaching beginner sewing classes for adults, teens, and kids, guiding students step by step and helping them build confidence at the machine.
🧶 You'll also teach crochet classes in one of our partner schools, helping children discover the joy of making while building creativity, focus, and confidence.
You don’t need to be a fashion designer — but you do need to enjoy teaching, working with beginners, and being part of a supportive, creative studio.
Strong English communication skills are essential, as you’ll be clearly explaining techniques and processes to complete beginners. Availability on weekday afternoons and one weekend day is a must.
If you’re passionate about creativity, community, and slow, thoughtful making, this might be your next chapter.

No screens.
No endless to-do lists.
No rushing from one thing to the next.
Just creativity, learning a new skill, and the satisfaction of making something with their own hands 🫶
As the summer heat settles in, there’s something nice about having a cool indoor hobby to look forward to each week. A creative reset. A little me time. Something that belongs entirely to you.

Did you know… making something yourself changes how you value it?
Psychologists call it the IKEA Effect: the tendency to place a higher value on things we've helped create ourselves.
That might explain why a handmade tote bag feels different from one bought in a shop. Or why a crocheted toy, slightly wonky and full of character, becomes a favourite.
It's not because the item is perfect.
It's because you remember the effort, the learning, the mistakes, and the moment you finally finished it.

We’re excited to be collaborating with Thrift for Good over the next five weeks and bringing our crochet classes to their Sustainability Hub in Al Quoz 🧶
Starting Thursday, 4 June, we’ll be running weekly beginner-friendly crochet classes for kids aged 9+ in a calm and creative environment focused on mindful making and practical skills.
