A coffee catch-up today at Studio City with Robbie McAree from Epic Films.

With both of us frequently on the move, finding a gap in our schedules is never easy, but it was great to finally make it to their office and spend some time catching up.

Epic Films has been at the forefront of international film production for many years, with recent projects including Dune, F1 and Now You See Me 3, alongside countless other major productions. Our paths regularly cross when DLC Events provides radio communication solutions to support their crew on location.

While the current regional market continues to present challenges and has slowed demand for some productions across the Middle East, it was encouraging to hear Robbie's optimism about the future. That confidence is shared across much of the film and live events industry, and we're looking forward to supporting many more productions and projects in the years ahead.

After several hot and humid days in the warehouse in Singapore, the pre-programming, testing and final checks are complete as we prepare for our annual challenge of transforming a gala dinner setup into a 500-seat conference in just six hours.

Tomorrow, the team heads on site to begin the build at the prestigious Shangri-La Singapore and they are all ready!

Boots are on the ground in as Mark, Issa and Moon arrive ahead of the region’s most significant security conference of the year.

This year’s edition comes with an added challenge. Much of the equipment has arrived in stages directly from back-to-back international events, meaning the usual preparation carried out in Dubai is instead taking place inside our logistics partner’s warehouse in Singapore.

It’s a reminder that in live events, flexibility and preparation are just as important as the technology itself. The team now begins the process of unpacking, configuring and preparing the systems for another high-profile international gathering.
