Today I’ve made my version of an Al Drour, which was used by Bedouins (one of the tribes the UAE along time ago) to chart their course in the desert through looking at different stars and calculations. This charted four different seasons that were divided by the stars and their heliacal risings and settings. Loved layering the colors although it took forever since all of shapes and details I’ve made by hand. It was quite therapeutic - but was also quite the pressure because this is to be given to someone highly regarded. 🙏🩷 Glad I finished on time!

I have been through a lot of transitions lately with transitioning to Dubai being of them. I was very excited to take part in an exhibit at Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art last November! Sharing it here!✨

Just something inspired by Studio Ghibli, because I have time to illustrate and watch Princess Mononoke, and breathe in the feels. 🐹 This scene would be more Arrietty-ish though, but I’m just trying a certain aesthetic anyway. To step into this magical world would be a dreaaaaammmm!✨
