A painting depicting the present times. Most of us are locked at our homes with just these balcony views, there are many going through absolute solitude. We are soon approaching midway of the year 2020 and all we could do since the beginning of the year was to stare out of our windows. Hope the world recovers sooner. None of us would want to celebrate the New Year this way. This too shall pass.

Mohini, the enchantress. The only female form adopted by Vishnu in the Hindu Mythology. Her ravishing beauty was to help her trick the Asuras who had taken away the pot of 'Amrut', the elixir of immortality, obtained from the Cosmic Ocean, through the churning process, the 'Samudra Manthan', done by the Devas and Asuras.

Mythological stories always helped a lot with my imaginations during childhood, which is why i do a lot of devotional art.
All credits to my maternal grandmother who devoted her precious time within busy schedules, to have narrated to me the various stories when I was a kid.
Recently I had come across one of the most beautiful image of Mohini from a friend's post, (no idea of the artist) which inspired me to get this image done.

About Pixel Art

The first time we came across a Pixel Art would possibly be on the computer games we played during the 1990's. We always saw those tiny images of Dangerous Dave, Super Mario and PacMan in tiny colourful pixels. As years or rather decades passed on the pixel colours got more and more detailed which is how we see the super clarity images on our screens these days

Super Mario never owned a perfect or complete figure but we could well decipher his form somehow from our PC screens. This is what attracted me to pixels in general

Pixel Images are in an abstract form as you keep zooming in whereas it is in its perfect form as the image is zoomed out

Hence the Artwork can be considered purely Abstract as you get closer for a clear picture on the Canvas at display whereas a Perfect Portrait painting while mounted onto your wall at home. Now that's pure MAGIC!!

To put a picture as a Pixel Art onto a Canvas is a tedious job, but I thoroughly enjoy doing it whole heartedly. 😍
