An essential session, “Shaping the Future: Integrating Additive Manufacturing into Engineering Education,” powered by ASME – UAE Professional Section, explored how AM can transform education and upskilling for the next generation of engineers.

Moderated by the distinguished Dr. Salman Pervaiz, Director of the Materials and Advanced Manufacturing Research Center (MAMRC) at RIT, this panel included leading academics:
- Prof. Sathish Kannan, Dean - Engineering, Amity University Dubai
- Dr. Wael Zaki, Professor and Acting Chair, Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering, Khalifa University
- Prof. Chithirai Pon Selvan, Director of Research & Head of School - Science and Engineering, Curtin University Dubai

They shared their vision for equipping the next generation of engineers with the skills and knowledge needed to drive innovation in this rapidly evolving field.

Maha Al Sibai, CEO Maha Al Sibai Jewellery | Chairman, Dubai Busines Group for Gold & Jewelery Designers delivered a creative industries presentation at ReAM Show titled "Creativity and the Use of 3D Printing."

The session showcased how additive manufacturing is transforming jewelry design and luxury goods creation, exploring artistic applications, design innovation, and the intersection of traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technologies.

ABDÜLCELÎL BAYAR, Metallic Processes, Material Engineering/Engineering Executive Vice Presidency, Türk Havacılık Uzay Sanayii delivered a industry presentation at ReAM Show titled "Challenges and Barriers to the Adoption of Additive Manufacturing in the Aerospace Industry."

The session addressed practical challenges, regulatory barriers, and industry-specific obstacles in implementing additive manufacturing technologies within aerospace operations, sharing insights on overcoming implementation challenges.

Haider Butt, Professor, Khalifa University delivered a medical technology presentation at ReAM Show titled "3D-Printing of Multi-material Contact Lenses." The session focused on advanced ophthalmic applications of additive manufacturing, exploring how multi-material 3D printing can create customized contact lenses with enhanced functionality, comfort and therapeutic capabilities for vision correction and eye health.

Jorge Montalvo Navarrete, Advanced Manufacturing Workshop Manager, NYU Abu Dhabi delivered a technical presentation at ReAM Show titled "OpenSource Workflow for 3D Printing for Medical Applications." The session focused on accessible, open-source approaches to medical 3D printing, democratizing healthcare manufacturing technologies and enabling broader adoption of additive manufacturing in medical settings worldwide.

This session at ReAM Show delved into a topic with immense human impact: "Accelerating Innovation in Healthcare: How Additive Manufacturing is Shaping the Future of Medical Devices and Personalised Medicines."

The panelists showcased how 3D printing is enabling patient-specific implants, surgical tools, and personalized medicine, truly transforming healthcare for the better.

Dr. Sarath Raj, Project Director – Amity Dubai Satellite Ground Station and AmiSat, Amity University Dubai delivered an aerospace presentation at ReAM Show titled "From Obsolete to Optimized: Industrial Sovereignty in Aerospace via On-Demand, Sustainable Additive Manufacturing."

The session explored how additive manufacturing enables aerospace industrial sovereignty, on-demand production capabilities and sustainable manufacturing practices for space and aerospace applications.

Dr. Sastry Kandukuri, Global AM Practice Lead at DNV Norway, delivered a technical presentation at ReAM Show 2025 titled “Integrating AM & Reverse Engineering in Oil & Gas: Building Trust Through Evidence-Based Practice.”

The session highlighted the role of additive manufacturing and reverse engineering in the oil & gas sector, emphasizing reliability, validation and the importance of evidence-based practices to strengthen industry trust and adoption.

Prof. Marwan Khraisheh, Professor, Bin Khalifa University delivered a keynote presentation at ReAM Show titled "Advancing Industrial Utilization of Additive Manufacturing Using AI." The session focused on the integration of artificial intelligence with additive manufacturing processes, exploring how AI-driven optimization can enhance production efficiency, quality control, and design innovation.

Prof. Khraisheh shared cutting-edge research on smart manufacturing systems and the future of AI-powered 3D printing applications.
