Most people think aging is just about wrinkles and gray hair.

But the truth is, aging starts inside — way before you see it in the mirror.

Here are 4 underrated metrics that actually show how your body is doing… and how fast you’re aging:



1. HRV (Heart Rate Variability)
The more flexible your nervous system, the better your body can handle stress.
High HRV = faster recovery, better focus, and stronger immunity.



2. RHR (Resting Heart Rate)
Your heart shouldn’t work hard when you’re doing nothing.
A lower RHR means your heart is efficient, and your fitness is real.



3. Deep Sleep
This is when your body repairs muscle, balances hormones, and resets your brain.
Less deep sleep = slower recovery, brain fog, and faster aging.



4. Body Composition
Forget weight. What matters is how much lean muscle you carry.
More muscle = better metabolism, more strength, less inflammation.



Here’s the truth:
You can’t manage what you don’t measure.

Most people wait until they feel old — but your body gives you early signs.
Here’s how to measure aging the smart way:

1️⃣ VO2 Max
Your body’s ability to use oxygen = your true engine power.
🔻 If it’s low, your cardiovascular system is aging faster than it should.

2️⃣ Resting Heart Rate (RHR)
A higher RHR = higher stress and slower recovery.
Aim for below 60 bpm for healthy aging.

3️⃣ Muscle Mass vs. Body Fat %
Sarcopenia (muscle loss) starts earlier than you think.
Tracking lean mass is KEY to slowing aging.

4️⃣ Blood Markers to Track:
• CRP (inflammation)
• HbA1c (blood sugar aging)
• LDL & HDL (cholesterol balance)
• Testosterone / DHEA (hormone health)
• Vitamin D3 (longevity essential)

5️⃣ Strength + Balance Tests
• 1RM leg press
• Dead hang duration
• Plank time
• Single leg balance
These show how well your body holds up under pressure.
