On October 18, 2025, the Lebanese Hospital Geitawi–UMC proudly hosted the Annual Heart Failure Day, a highly scientific summit dedicated to advanced cardiovascular medicine and heart failure management.

It was a great pleasure to be a chaiperson of this very interesting session at ESC congress London. Key messages:
1- Aspirin might be no longer needed for New generation LVAD recipients. 2- Bridging patients from short term MCS to heart transplant is feasible with acceptable results.3- real life world data with HM3 recipients show similar good good outcomes compared to clinical trials

I was glad to speak about cardiac amyloidosis at the Lebanese Society of Cardiology congress, held in Zahle, Lebanon. Cardiac amyloidosis is a serious and life threatening condition in which toxic proteins deposit in the cardiac muscle and lead to heart failure. Recognizing and screening this disease is crucial to save lives.

The crucial place of SGLT2 inhibitors in the treatment of heart failure was the topic of my last lecture in Beirut. Very glad to have shared this very scientifically rich session with Professor Javed Butler, one of the most eminent names in the field of heart failure and cardiology worldwide
