FCC AUH Father’s Day Celebration 💙

A father is God’s gift to the family—a protector, provider, teacher, and a reflection of God’s love and compassion. In today’s Gospel, we are reminded that fathers are called to lead their families with love, humility, and faithfulness, guiding their children closer to God through both words and actions.

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” – Book of Exodus 20:12

Today, we honor and celebrate all fathers—their sacrifices, hard work, silent prayers, and unconditional love. Thank you for the countless ways you care for your families and for being instruments of God’s grace.

Above all, we give thanks to God our Father in Heaven, the source of all love and goodness. Thank You, Lord, for blessing us with fathers who nurture, protect, and guide us. May You continue to grant them wisdom, strength, good health, and hearts that always seek You.

Our weekend is never complete without our family worshipping together. Yes, we all get tired after a long and busy week. Sometimes everyone just wants to stay in bed, relax at home, and do nothing. We understand that feeling because we experience it too.

But as parents, we made one thing non-negotiable: we worship GOD together as a family every Saturday.

Because we believe that while work, school, and responsibilities are important, our relationship with GOD deserves our time and priority too. When families pray and worship together, they don’t only strengthen their faith—they strengthen their bond with one another.

Children may not remember every toy we bought or every place we visited, but they will remember seeing their parents choose GOD despite being tired. They will remember that faith was not just something talked about at home—it was something lived out consistently.

There will always be reasons to skip worship: exhaustion, busy schedules, or simply wanting to rest. But there is also something beautiful about saying, “No matter how busy our week has been, we will end it by giving thanks and glory to GOD together.”

To fellow parents, our children are watching us every day. The habits we practice today become the values they carry tomorrow. Make family worship a priority, not because of obligation, but because we want our children to grow up knowing that in every season of life, GOD comes first.

Dati, ako yung takot mag-explore ng bagong hairstyle. Lagi akong nasa safe zone dahil baka hindi bumagay o baka pagsisihan ko. But as I grow older, I’ve learned to be more open-minded and adventurous. Life is too short to always play it safe. Sometimes, trying something new brings out a version of yourself you never knew existed.

At this stage of life, I am learning to embrace change, enjoy the journey, and celebrate myself without guilt. Because taking care of yourself is not a luxury—it’s a reminder that you matter too. ✨
