Grade 2 Trip to Nyati Eco Game Park
At the end of the third term last year the grade 2 class set out on a day trip towards the east to Nyati Eco Game Park, Headlands, Zimbabwe. After a few months of doing both digi-school and online learning the class decided to take some time away from the classroom and have a little change of scenery.
The day was filled with various activities including boat riding, hourse riding, outdoor games, game drive and interaction with the white lions. The children enjoyed all the activities and could've gone all day long. Lunch was served followed by some outdoor games in the garden. Children learnt about different kinds of animals and plants during the game drive and lion interaction.
It was indeed an amazing day for the children!

Gosho Park trip
The anxiety started building up earlier than anticipated. I mentioned the prospects of an outing in October and I told them that we would definitely travel on the new big bus. We waited long for the big bus but eventually we had our camp on Monday the 1st of November 2021.
We left Lendy at 825am to be precise. We arrived at Gosho Park at 9am and soon the whole place was painted red.
It was a very hot day ,scorching and blazing hot. We embarked on a three and half hour walk in the woods from 1030am to 2pm. What a long walk! We had our water bottles on us to hydrate and rehydrate ourselves aginst the heat. I was pysched up to carry one or two incase they tire on the way , much to my disbilief everyone managed without aid. We would take breaks in between the walk for game viewing, lying on the rocks or just sitting under the trees to replenish the zeal and energy to carry on. It was the most exciting day of our life together.
The highlight of the camp was the raincoat galore. We had packed our raincoats in antcipation of the rains and the weather did not hint of any rains, so we just wore our raincoats and played in the sun. Thank God, it rained as soon as we arrived back at Lendy, what a blessing!
Our camp story in pictures.

Grade 3 trip to
The grade 3 class took some time off school and set out to refresh their minds and also practically learn about nature and farming.
"It was lovely to finally go spend time away in the bush since the lockdown started. The children and I were so excited to smell the fresh air and to see (and interact) with nature. We took in all of Imire's beauty and we awed at God's marvelous creation. The beautiful night sky and the cool breeze made us wish to stay there longer."

It's back to school! We've missed having the children here with us and in less than 24hrs these pathways will be alive again.
A few words of encouragement from our staff in this difficult time.
Our Shona Day this term was filled with lots of celebration, dance, music and a good meal under the beautiful trees by the school hall. We also took time to bid farewell to our long time serving cook, Mr Agemu porpulaly known as "Sekuru Mirion". Mr Agemu started working at Lendy Park School in 1995 and has played a huge role at Lendy, serving delicious food and on time for a good 26 years. We are grateful to have had him at Lendy and we wish him well in his retirement.
Our tennis courts are now 80% complete. The children are so excited and so are we. We can't wait to play sport again and have you all come and enjoy an afternoon of tennis with us.
