Greetings to the Lendy Park family. Does anyone have any videos or pictures of any school plays in the period 2000 - 2003 in which my son Dexter Fundire participated. If you do have copies please inbox so that we can make arrangements for me to get copies. I am prepared to meet the cost for copying and any other logistics to get the copies Thank you to all the teachers at Lendy who nurtured my son Dexter Fundire's passion and skills in Creative Arts.

It was all to run for in the Inter-house Athletics that took place on Saturday in the cold, foggy marondera weather. Parents were put in their numbers supporting the children as they raced the morning away.

The houses battled it out till the end and Hungwe came out victorious!! Well done to all the children for participating, the parents for the lovely cheer and not forgetting the electric parents vs teachers races!!

18/03/2022

It all comes down to the last interhouse event for the term. Will Hungwe stand their ground and clinch the title to make it 1 Cup apiece or will Chapungu clinch a double? Tomorrow we find out!!

Once every year each grade goes on a camp or educational trip in and around the country. Children always look forward to these trips as they are very beneficial and equip children with very important life skills.

Grade 2 Trip to Nyati Eco Game Park

At the end of the third term last year the grade 2 class set out on a day trip towards the east to Nyati Eco Game Park, Headlands, Zimbabwe. After a few months of doing both digi-school and online learning the class decided to take some time away from the classroom and have a little change of scenery.

The day was filled with various activities including boat riding, hourse riding, outdoor games, game drive and interaction with the white lions. The children enjoyed all the activities and could've gone all day long. Lunch was served followed by some outdoor games in the garden. Children learnt about different kinds of animals and plants during the game drive and lion interaction.

It was indeed an amazing day for the children!

Grade 1
Gosho Park trip

The anxiety started building up earlier than anticipated. I mentioned the prospects of an outing in October and I told them that we would definitely travel on the new big bus. We waited long for the big bus but eventually we had our camp on Monday the 1st of November 2021.
We left Lendy at 825am to be precise. We arrived at Gosho Park at 9am and soon the whole place was painted red.
It was a very hot day ,scorching and blazing hot. We embarked on a three and half hour walk in the woods from 1030am to 2pm. What a long walk! We had our water bottles on us to hydrate and rehydrate ourselves aginst the heat. I was pysched up to carry one or two incase they tire on the way , much to my disbilief everyone managed without aid. We would take breaks in between the walk for game viewing, lying on the rocks or just sitting under the trees to replenish the zeal and energy to carry on. It was the most exciting day of our life together.
The highlight of the camp was the raincoat galore. We had packed our raincoats in antcipation of the rains and the weather did not hint of any rains, so we just wore our raincoats and played in the sun. Thank God, it rained as soon as we arrived back at Lendy, what a blessing!
Our camp story in pictures.

Grade 3 trip to
The grade 3 class took some time off school and set out to refresh their minds and also practically learn about nature and farming.

"It was lovely to finally go spend time away in the bush since the lockdown started. The children and I were so excited to smell the fresh air and to see (and interact) with nature. We took in all of Imire's beauty and we awed at God's marvelous creation. The beautiful night sky and the cool breeze made us wish to stay there longer."

Our Shona Day this term was filled with lots of celebration, dance, music and a good meal under the beautiful trees by the school hall. We also took time to bid farewell to our long time serving cook, Mr Agemu porpulaly known as "Sekuru Mirion".
