USAP Community School

🎶Honored to share that our USAP Community School ensemble has been awarded the 2025 African Voice Cup, at the National Institute of Allied Arts (NIAA), selected from 2,000 overall entries.

Our performance featured soloist Takunda Magadaire, with a piece composed by Mary Anibal and arranged by Anesu Ndoro.

This recognition reflects not only musical excellence but also the power of teamwork, dedication, and creative vision. Congratulations to every team member who brought this performance to life.

We are extremely proud to celebrate Keith Tamwa (USAP '24) who has been named an incoming Ellison Scholars! This program provides an incredible opportunity for Keith to study Engineering Science at the University of Oxford while contributing to groundbreaking research at the Ellison Institute of Technology Oxford (EIT). Keith is the only inaugural Ellison Scholar from sub-Saharan Africa and one of 20 undergraduate scholars globally. Congratulations, Makorokoto, Amhlope, Keith!

As we wrap up our 2024 at Education Matters, we have made sure to reflect on the strides we made as an organization in 2024, both at our offices in Harare and at the USAP Community School. We fundamentally believe we are only as strong as our community—and we are fortunate to have a community of thoughtful, engaged, and caring people and organizations that help carry us to new heights each year. The USAP Media Club, in honor of the 6th day of the 16 days of activism against gender based violence 2024, initiated a ‘Walk Against GBV’ in order to raise awareness in the surrounding community. It was an incredible sight seeing everyone unite and stand up for what they believe in.
