For a single day before the world seemed to go mad again, Shona and Thandwe were able to revel in the kinship, community and celebration that their amazing relationship deserves.
For a single hour in that day we escaped to an isolated sandbank in the middle of the Zambezi for some wedding photos. It was serene, it was fun and it was an awesome insight into the closeness these two enjoy. Here are a few of my favourite images.

Nyangombe Christian Training Centre in the northwest of Zambia is an impressive organisation. It runs like a finely oiled machine, built of a number of cogs, one of which is Jonathan Mwanawuta. Metalwork expert, trainer and workshop head, he’s also a lovely bloke with a heck of a smile.

- Found a pet frog;
- Made a nature documentary;
- Laughed at the fart noises mud makes when you walk through it;
- Cleaned off in a makeshift sprinkler;
- Sobbed uncontrollably when we released the frog;
- Got into a fight at teeth brushing time and punched each other in the head.
- Fell asleep in seconds.

Unprecedented time with your family, conversations you’d never normally have time for, space to reconnect with yourself. Be calm and make the most of it. Stay safe and protect your family. And make homemade pizza... you’ll never regret that 😃
