October 2023, I step onto the airport tarmac; I’m back in Harare for the 1st time since I left as a teen 15 years ago. I didn’t know what awaited me. Surprising and reuniting with family, the beautiful new connections and memories, visiting my Gogo’s (grandmother) resting place and this joy-filled song that and I would end up making.
