Have you ever been in a place of the rejected, accused or the abandoned ? Have you ever seen expressions on their faces when they get to realize that there is still hope to live a new life of positivity even in such places? Why? Because of the words of encouragement they continue to receive.
Jesus would go to places that people preferred not to visit; teaching them the word of God and winning souls.

Rejection is something every person deals with at some point in his or her life. It can be painful and harsh, and it can stay with us for a long time. However, it’s a part of life we just need to work through. As scripture reminds us, God will be there for us to ease the sting of rejection. When you feel rejected and condemned, it is more important than ever to know who you are in Christ Jesus. God loves us because he chooses to love us in spite of our failures. He loved us while we were still sinners, (Romans 5:8) and he will never stop loving us.

Today we fulfilled a pending visit to Chikurubi Female Prison with Jedidiah Trust. Great work you continue to do👏👏. Our initial courtesy visit was last year in March 2020 before lockdown started and our area of intervention is towards the children in prisons, their education at the prison premises and the female inmates. We shared the word of God and reminded them on how Christ demonstrated His love for us which we also need to extend to each other in different ways. Us visiting them today was an expression of love to them💞; an act of sisterhood; being a sisters-keeper. Just as we were leaving one of the inmates rushed to as expressing how she was inspired by the testimony I shared to them about the crotchet group of the elderly we launched recently in Caledonia. She shared her interest to do such in the prison to also empower the women and young girls with the skills to make different items.

As Kindercare-Zimbabwe we distributed stationery boxes to the children, boxes of preschool books , pencils, colors and wooden toys donated by Miracle Missions Trust.

God is always at work, and He always has a remnant chosen by grace to accomplish His will. When we feel alone, abandoned or overwhelmed, we can take heart that our relationship with God is not based on our performance but simply upon our faith in Jesus. We can take great comfort in knowing He will never leave us or forsake us. (Deut. 31:8) And He will always be with us. (Matt. 28:20).

John 15:18
If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. (NIV)

Psalm 27:10
Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. (NLT)

Psalm 118:22
The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. (NLT)

Isaiah 53:3
He was hated and rejected; his life was filled with sorrow and terrible suffering. No one wanted to look at him. We despised him and said, “He is a nobody!” (CEV)

Psalm 34:17-20
When his people pray for help, he listens and rescues them from their troubles. The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope. The Lord’s people may suffer a lot, but he will always bring them safely through. Not one of their bones will ever be broken. (CEV)

WHY EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT IS IMPORTANT TO A CHILD?

1.THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Let’s take a closer look at the significant benefits of early childhood development.

Helps with Concentration:

Children’s minds are full of curiosity; their minds and bodies are never still. This makes it hard for them to listen and complete tasks. However, their attention span improves tremendously once they start attending ECD schools. Which results in the children being able to listen better, improved effective communication, follow instructions, concentrate on their tasks and participate in group activities.

Patience & Teamwork:

When children interact with their peers in group activities, they gain not only patience but also a respect for the opinions and ideas of others. Through teamwork they experience socialization making them open minded on issues of diversity and fosters cooperation and equality.

Encourages Holistic Development:

A child’s foundation is very important and should not be taken for granted. The overall wellbeing of children’s cognizant and mental development, their physical and emotional development and social skills are important founding factors in ensuring their success for the future.

Makes Children Open for Learning:

Trained early childhood development educators can effectively support children individually in areas where they struggle, which in turn makes children confident in their skills as they grow. Building confidence is an essential ingredient for all aspects of your child’s healthy development and a key ingredient for their adult success.

Early childhood is a crucial part of a child’s development and quality training will ensure a child is confident and ready for school. It takes a trained ECD educator who has gone through a professional development course to be able to facilitate the all-round development of young children in a manner that is sensitive to culture and individual needs (including special needs).

A trained teacher will be able to provide quality early childhood development services for children. ❤️❤️

Why is play important?

Experts agree that play is important because:

Children need to play so that they can grow and learn.
Play is a way of taking part in everyday life.
Children have fun, and that is valuable by itself.
Play is key to children's development and brain growth.
During play, children explore and experience the world around them in a safe way.
Threats to the right to play

And yet, everywhere, children's playtime is being threatened. Some of the reasons for this are:

Adults don't understand how important it is for children to play freely.
There are not enough safe spaces for play.
There is too much pressure on children to do well at school.
Technology is challenging free play (for example, too much TV or inappropriate internet content).
It's your job to protect children's right to play, and help them develop and grow.

A Christmas with a difference for Melfort Mesh Children’s Orphanage and Melfort Old People’s Home🎄.

Today we thank God that even though there was a hail storm in Melfort rural community, we managed to arrive safely and visit the intended destinations. It was all smiles and appreciation from the children and the elderly. We appreciate the support and guidance from Councillor Chikandamina and wife from Ward 21 whom we met this morning.

No one paid the orphanage a visit since 2018 and they were very excited when they saw us today😃. They danced for us, they sang for us, they did drama and poems for us, they played marimba instruments for us; all out of excitement and joy! The orphanage caters for 124 children and 20 elderly adults are now currently at the Old People’s home.

It was a day of extending God’s love to His people; the orphans and the elderly in a rural community that hardly receives visitors. Both the children and the elderly received medical attention through one of our Medical Doctors , Dr Kadzinga who is part of Imani Foundation Outreach team . The elderly and the children were examined by the doctor and different medications prescribed which we hope to arrange and donate to both institutions. We also donated sanitary pads to the girls at the orphanage.

This day was never going to be a successful without your endless support and donations.
Our donations to both the Orphanage and Old People’s home included:
Cases of cooking oil, Cases of Bathing soap, Cases of Green Bar, 50kg Maize, 50kg Rice (25kg bags), 20kg Rice (2kgs), Cases of Fresh milk, Cases of Revive drinks, Cases of Mahewu , 20l Sanitizers, Loaves of Bread, 5 cases of Pork pies (500 units), Loin Chops meat , Cases of sugar, Case of Colgate, Box of Mac washing powder, Cases of Vaseline, Fruit Jam, Peanut butter, Cabbages, Salad Cream, Packs of Jiggies chips, Lollipops, Case of Mazoe, Case of Ballyhouse drinks, 4 Boxes Usavi Mix, 10kg Mealie meal, Sanitary Pads cases, Boxes of Biscuits, Salt, Christmas cakes x 2, Tanganda Stella Tea leaves, Tomatoe Sauce, Childrens’ clothes, Elderly clothes and shoes.

We appreciate all of you who extended their hands to offer their donations in cash and kind👏👏👏👏👏👏. We appreciate the following partners who went an extra mile to support the Melfort Community Christmas program under Imani Foundation Trust :

Happy World Children’s Day.

Investing in our Future means investing in our Children. This year’s theme for World Children's Day 2021 is 'A Better Future for Every Child'. The theme is being observed in accordance to the global coronavirus pandemic which has affected the rights of every child. Climate change, educational divide and mental health issues have also taken a toll on children during the pandemic.

Let us stand for our children and fight for their rights so that we help them to enjoy the best from their childhood age until they become responsible adults. Today take time to read through different literature on children’s rights and show them love❤️. They need our support and care.

Together we can 👏👏👏.

November marks the start of National Children’s Month, as declared by the Council of Welfare for Children (CWC). This month-long event aims to promote and spread awareness on the rights of children. World Children’s Day falls on 20 November each year.

In light of the National Children’s Month, as KinderCare Zimbabwe, we will take you through information on the rights of children—and what adults can do to uphold them.

#1. Every child has the right to be born well.

It is the responsibility of the parents to make sure they can provide a safe environment for their unborn child. This includes proper medical attention and care from conception, birth, and throughout childhood years in a newborn services unit or pediatric center.

#2. Every child has the right to a wholesome family life.

The child’s first learning environment and teachers are their home and family. They are entitled to be a part of a loving family that will instill ethical values and morals in them.
