Participating in the Zimbabwe Science Fair and Africa Science Buskers Festival throughout high school, Memory has worked on a number of ideas to solve society's grand challenges. Last year she turned reeds into a biofuel. For that project she was selected to represent Zimbabwe in the world's biggest pre-university science competition, the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

At ISEF, Memory scooped the 3rd grand award in Energy: Sustainable Materials & Design Category.

The Nat Geo documentary Science Fair: The Series showcases students working to solve the world’s most complex and pressing issues using science while competing for a coveted spot at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the most competitive science fair on the planet.

A narrative that champions the spirit of science and innovation, but more importantly, it's a celebration of youthful tenacity and the belief that even the youngest among us can change the world. Be sure to watch!

These men and women have built many lives and shaped dreams. Teachers!

This week we hit a big milestone. We launched the Zimbabwe Research Teachers Conference. The mission is to create and support a collaborative community of teachers through professional development that joyfully emphasises the promotion of scientific research in our schools.

We really enjoyed every moment of the Conference. Caitlin Sullivan from Society for Science gave a loaded keynote address. Paula Golden, President of Broadcom Foundation gave an inspiring message. The teachers programmed autonomous/intelligent cars (coding for the first time), assembled solar powered rovers, built sound powered turbines, shared ideas and best practices, and formed two committees that I know will accelerate STEM education in Zimbabwe.

We are super excited about the future!
