Key differences between a PBC & a PLC:

Registering for a PB C is recommended for Small to Medium Businesses whereas a PLC is recommended for medium to larger businesses.

Both a PBC & a PLC are a separate entity from its owners (Normally referred to as a separate legal persona)

A PBC has a minimum of one member (sole trader) and a maximum of 20 member, A PLC on the other hand has a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 50 members.

Members are the same as shareholders and owners, whereas shareholders can either be different from directors in a PBC.

A PBC is not required to lodge annual returns, whereas a PLC is required to do so.
