What better way to celebrate International Women's Day than with a Masterclass from the Master herself, Langa Lloyd, Creative Director and Founder of House of Langa LANGA Cosmetics 💄.

We were introduced to the gorgeous Langa Sibanda when she was crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe in 1996, and she went from taking the modeling industry by storm to taking the beauty industry at large by storm, launching her own Beauty line, Langa Cosmetics, a natural skincare and makeup brand in 2013.

Langa has been continuing to make strides since then, this time off the runway and in business, recently opening a Restaurant serving authentic African dishes, the Edge Cafe, in Avondale, Harare. Do check it out for some of her dishes of goodness🥞😉Langa has also created a food line and is working with and supporting rural women, creating sustainable ideas of minimising waste on certain produce.

One public secret about Langa? She is big on organic products and being environmentally friendly and responsible. Her brands link food and cosmetics manufacturing in order to use the entire fruit and avoid wastage🙌🏾

Impressive right? We did say she was the Master!! And now this 2014 ZIWA Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner and Rothmans Designer of the Year Honoree is bringing her expertise, knowledge and insights for an hour long Masterclass on Entrepreneuship and Leadership just for YOU!

In 1996 she was crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe. In 1998 she won Zimbabwe Designer of The Year award — the first black Zimbabwean to win the accolade.

Six years ago, she founded LANGA Cosmetics

Her name is Langa Lloyd.

Why am I crushing on this legendary woman?

Our stories are somewhat similar.

Langa was looking at her modeling photographs from the 1990s. In her words, she looked “either donkey grey or orange!”
The makeup of that era did not suit the different hues of black skin. This is what inspired her to create a line of cosmetics that is suited for black skin.

I began experimenting with natural skincare products because my skin is sensitive and breaks out if I use the wrong product. In fact, I rarely wear makeup because my skin reacts to it. My own skin problems inspired me to create Mambokadzi products.

But this is not about me. This is about Langa.

I tried several imported brands of makeup. The result was the same; bad skin reaction. And then I tried Langa Cosmetics. My skin loved them. The solution to my makeup issues was right under my nose all along. So this is me wearing Langa Cosmetics products.

Langa does not just sell makeup.... she sells confidence ❤️
