Commendation for Bravery at Kamativi BancABC Branch

We want to acknowledge the brave actions of our colleague, who is a true hero. Yesterday, at the Kamativi BancABC Branch, three armed robbers entered the bank, forcing tellers to lie on the ground and assaulting our hero. In the chaos, the tellers managed to escape through the back door. As it closed, the robbers incorrectly assumed it was locking them in, prompting their hasty retreat.

Two of the robbers were armed with pistols, while the third was unarmed. Our hero pursued the unarmed robber for approximately 3 kilometers, successfully apprehending him after a struggle that lasted several minutes until the CID team arrived. The robbers, all linked to the uniformed forces, are currently under investigation, with the arrested individual assisting the police.

During this frightening event, live gunfire was exchanged among the robbers, the guard, and law enforcement. We thank Mr. Jameson Muchimba, our outstanding shift supervisor, and Butolenkosi Munsaka, who also played a crucial role and narrowly avoided gunfire.
