Attention, memory and cognitive skills training centre. We help children who struggle to learn, particularly those with ADHD/ADD. BioLink uses World leading Play Attention neurofeedback technology for individuals who want to improve their attentional control.

Biolink neurofeedback technology is used for individuals struggling to maintain attentional control or want to improve their attention levels. In October 2012 the American Academy of Pediatrics report on Evidence-based Child and Adolescent Pyschosocial Interventions concluded that for the Attention and Hyperactivity behavioural problems, Neurofeedback was a “Level 1 Best Support’ intervention, the

highest level of support. Biolink scientifically measures 5 building blocks of intentional control using the South African developed FOCUS CPT test. Biolink Centres also offers various interactive workshops to support parents and learners from Grade R to Grade 12

IMPROVES
Social skills are the skills we use to communicate and interact with each other, both verbally and non-verbally, through gestures, body language and our personal appearance. Human beings are sociable creatures and we have developed many ways to communicate our messages, thoughts and feelings with others
Behaviour Shaping is NOT a method for managing inappropriate behaviour. But using a method that assists you in setting goals for the behaviour of a certain student. Shaping will provide guidance and direction to create an appropriate behaviour that is not yet in the student repertoire. Behaviour shaping is used when you want the student to engage in a certain desirable behaviour that is, at present, infrequently or never displayed by him/her. Cognitive training consists of a variety of exercises designed to help improve functioning in areas such as sustaining attention, thinking before acting, visual and auditory processing, listening and reading
ADHD is a chronic condition marked by persistent inattention, hyperactivity, and sometimes impulsivity. Short-term memory is the capacity for holding, but not manipulating, a small amount of information in mind in an active, readily available state for a short period of time. Spatial memory is the part of memory responsible for recording information about one's environment and its spatial orientation. For example, a person's spatial memory is required in order to navigate around a familiar city or to focus on details like where I put my homework book this afternoon. Working memory is a system for temporarily storing and managing the information required to carry out complex cognitive tasks such as learning, reasoning, and comprehension
Executive function is the ability to: Manage time
Pay attention
Switch focus
Plan and organize
Remember details
Avoid saying or doing the wrong thing
Impulsivity
Excessive Fidgeting
Day dreaming
Task completion
Language skills
Math skills
Group participation
Low self esteem
Filtering auditory and visual distractions

On the topic of a healthy lunch box, my little one is only occasionally a fan of yogurt. Should he be presented with a bowl of it, he will promptly tell me no and would much rather eat out the dog's dish with a stick (true story). Unless of course, the yogurt might be my yogurt or at least this was the case until I discovered . . . SPRINKLES! Yes, not the most healthy BUT, yogurt, with some pureed fruit mixed in, maybe some blitzed nuts, and a dash of sprinkles on the top has all the nutritional value with very little compromise and fuss. Hope it works as well for you as it has for me.

Dare I say . . . LUNCHBOX 🧃 . . . cringe. I think I lose sleep over what to put in my child's lunch box beyond all the nutritious, healthy, fresh but mostly, food that will actually be eaten by my child, and not by myself once they get home with a lunchbox full of food that looks mostly like it's been attacked by a small rodent. This week I'll be sharing some lunch box ideas that can be made in advance and provide healthy nutritious and edible with a twist. 😎 Enjoy.
