Back then in 1982-83 we did live in Harare. This coming June, I'll only be able to show up as a tourist.
As a tourist, may I have access to the safety training (Sat. morning) and then rent and shoot some (early afternoon)? I'd just love to travel in that time machine, and taste again those emotions "where it all began" (today I am a regular shooter, both target and IDPA). :)
Please let me know if possible and what red tape / costs would be involved. Can't wait to see the Cleveland Pistol Club again!

Our Safety Course is held on the 1st Saturday of the month, registration is at 08:30am for a 9am start. Visitors wishing to shoot are welcome between 2pm and 3.30pm on Saturday.
Cleveland Pistol Club is the largest and oldest continuous shooting sports club in Zimbabwe. We offer a wide variety of differing types of shooting sports. In light of the current situation and following the Presidential address suspending all Sporting Events, and out of concern for the members and public we will be closing the range to the general public until further notice. Presentation made to Rolf Chenaux-Repond at Cleveland Pistol Club on 29.2.2020 in appreciation for his many years of dedication to shooting sports in Zimbabwe. Rolf and his wife, Maia, are retiring to their country of birth, Switzerland, after 63 years in Zimbabwe , Rolf was one of the original members that literally built the club that we now know and love , his presence at the club will be sorely missed!

Our Practical Pistol Teams travelled to Chateauroux, France to compete in the World Shoot XVIII in August this year. For the first time in many years there was a balanced representative squad of 4 Mashonas and 4 Matabeles, we also competed in two divisions with 5 Standard Guns and 3 Production Guns, and for the first time in decades 2 ladies made up the teams. Public Service Announcement: Dust off your licenced firearm sitting in the safe and come get training at Cleveland. 2pm Saturday afternoons. $10 visitor fee.
For those of you that are lucky enough to be here in Harare tomorrow I will be rolling out the charging lion Panterror target system for an exercise tomorrow from 11. Join us for a bit of recoil therapy Min calibre 9.3mmx62mm. Visitors or spectators welcome.
The memorial service for Charlie Haley will be held at CPC on Sunday 7 May at 3.00pm. A shoot off will be held after the service followed by a bring and braai. A plate of snacks would also be appreciated.
It is with great sadness that we advise you all of the death of Charlie Haley. A stalwart of CPC, his shooting skills were legendary as was his knowledge of firearms and ballistics. A gentleman and a friend - he will be sorely missed.

In an effort to assist with the dire shortage of cash, please be advised that the club can facilitate transfer of funds by RTGS for redemption of bar tickets, ammo vouchers etc.
Send through a proof of payment and once the amount has been reflected in the bank account, you will be issued with the relevant number of ticket books. The minimum transfer is $20 and please ensure that the transfer is in denominations of $10 as the books will be in those denominations.
This allows members to transact for club activities and maintain sales for subs/fees/ammo etc without using their hard to come by cash.
