How did UN CC:Learn and MIET AFRICA reach almost 30 million people in #SouthernAfrica?

In 2020, while helping #Malawi, #Zambia and #Zimbabwe with their responses to #COVID19, both organisations found a way to efficiently raise awareness of #climatechange, especially among #youth. Through a series of radio and TV programmes, they changed the way in which climate change is perceived and debated in the three countries, keeping it a topical issues despite the challenges brought about by the #pandemic.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen ,today marks the National Tree planting day 2020, as IVYAM we thought it wise to share with you the information on
WHY ARE TREES IMPORTANT TO THE ENVIRONMENT?
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity.
Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Have you ever taken an Aspirin? It comes from the bark of a tree!
All being said and done we quote, "trees are a renewable resource only if humans replace what it consumes " African Network of Young Leaders for Peace and Sustainable Development African Youth Initiative on Climate Change Zimbabwe Zimbabwe Youth Council Zimbabwe Youth Biodiversity Network Green hut Initiative Green Governance Zw Environmental Management Agency Climate Change Management Dept Young Volunteers for the environment Youth For Planet Youth4Climate Eco-network
It's not business as usual if we do not intergrate #Green isues into procurement processes. The Government of Zimbabwe through the Ministry of Environment, Climate,Tourism and Hospitality Industry Zimbabwe , Climate Change Management Dept has made efforts to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change, within the Government of Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 and inclusive growth agenda frameworks, require critical entities, such as the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ), to not only implement the existing instruments, but also advance green issues in all the procurement process.
