In fact the film's writer/director Tomas Lutuli Brickhill is the lead singer in mbira-punk band Chikwata.263, and their music features in the film (we know, we know, he's a man of many talents).

So the Studio in a Backpack (Formaly Known as 6 Durban road) has moved to Glendale Mazowe as the its new home and recording location @ 37 Tonny McCall Drive. The last phases of soundproofing are on this coming week and the job of creation resumes.
Our target and mission is to record, as may Zimbabwean artist to keep its various cultural sounds alive and also tap into the new age sound to create the sound of the future.
The Studio will also work closely with Mbiravolution to tap into the Mbira sound in it purest and also its most modern sound. Long live the sound of Zimbabwe.
