EYE CLINIC stories ... Caught in the nick of time! Thanks to IRENE FRANCIS for this feedback - a success story:

“I AM SO GLAD I attended the Free Eye Clinic by ACT on 09 04 22, where I had my eyes screened by Dr Evans and the team. I'd had a problem with cataract, but didn't think there was anything serious, as I was managing from day to day.

From the screening they discovered that I needed urgent attention in my left eye, they referred me for further treatment for the cataract, which was at a dangerous stage!

I got the treatment at Norton hospital eye section on 26 04 22 where they told me, I needed an urgent op to remove the cataract or else my left eye would be severely damaged, on 27 04 22 the very next day they managed to fit me in ahead of others, as an emergency operation, which was successfully done.

The treatment at Norton hospital eye section was excellent, I've been back to Norton hospital for my review on 27 05 22 and my eye is healing, recovering well.

Thank you to the A.C.T. program, Dr Evans and team for the first screening at the eye clinic, my eyesight has been saved.”

"SAY NO!"- DRUG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN - On Thursday 17 February 2022, a group of concerned professionals and residents of the Arcadia and Ward 2 communities, brought together by the Arcadia C.H.I.L.D. Trust (Community Healthcare and Institutional Legacy Development). launch an awareness campaign to counter the scourge of drug, alcohol and narcotics abuse in their our neighbourhoods.

Kick-starting the awareness campaign by Arcadia CHILD Trust, Brands Africa donated T-shirts, caps and masks to spread the bold, basic message: “Say No to Drugs”. The corporate's donation to support awareness will extend to billboards and other platforms nationwide.

Alamein road being repaired. Thanks to Arcadia C.H.I.L.D Trust, Instant Tar and Harare Quarry. This will go a long way to improving ambulance access to the community.
