The Falling Walls Lab is an inspiring global competition rooted in the spirit of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The goal is simple yet profound: to ask, "Which walls will fall next in science and society?"
This challenge invites brilliant mindsāfrom students to professionalsāto pitch a complex, breakthrough idea to a jury of top leaders in science, industry, and policy. The format demands clarity and impact: you have just 3 minutes and can use only 3 slides. In Zimbabwe, we are looking at innovations that directly tackle the walls holding back our nation's progress, focusing on critical areas like energy poverty, food security through climate-smart agriculture, healthcare access in underserved areas, quality education that bridges the digital divide and so many other social problems.
Whatās your biggest "Breaking the Wall of..." challenge in your industry or community in Zimbabwe?
