. One-Pot Roasted Rabbit & Veggies
· Ingredients: Rabbit (whole or cut), potatoes, carrots, onion, 3 tbsp oil, salt, rosemary.
· Method: Toss everything in oil and seasoning. Roast at 375°F (190°C) for 45 min, covered, then 15 min uncovered.

Fried Rabbit with Gravy
"Crispier than chicken"
Ingredients:
· 1 rabbit, cut into 6 pieces (hind legs, loins, front legs)
· 2 cups buttermilk
· 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
· 2 cups all-purpose flour
· 1 tsp paprika
· 1 tsp garlic powder
· 1 tsp onion powder
· 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
· 1 tsp salt
· 1 tsp black pepper
· Vegetable oil (for frying, about 4 cups)
For gravy:
· 3 tbsp pan drippings or reserved frying fat
· 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
· 2 cups whole milk
· Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Place rabbit pieces in a large bowl.Mix buttermilk and hot sauce together, pour over rabbit. Cover and refrigerate 4–24 hours.
2. Remove rabbit from buttermilk, letting excess drip off. Pat slightly dry (but don't wipe completely).
3. In a large zip-top bag, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne,(chillies) salt, and pepper.
4. Add rabbit pieces to bag, shake well to coat. Remove to a wire rack and let rest 15 minutes (this helps crust stick).
5. Heat oil in a frying pan cast.
6. Fry rabbit in batches (don't crowd). Fry for 8–14 minutes depending on piece size. Turn occasionally until deep golden brown.
7. Let it drain in a bowl or wire rack (not paper towels, to keep crisp).
8. For gravy: Pour off all but 3 tbsp oil from pan. Add 3 tbsp flour and mix over medium heat until golden brown (2 minutes). Slowly mix in milk. Cook until thickened (3–4 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
9. Serve rabbit with gravy on the side or poured over.

RABBIT SOVEREIGN ON RABBITRY FAILURE
Rabbitries most often fail due to a lack of planning, poor hygiene, inadequate record-keeping, and the failure to treat the rabbitry as a strict business.
1. Poor Breeding and Lack of Record Keeping
-many farmers do not keep accurate records of mating dates, kindling, or genetic lineages.
This leads to inbreeding, accidental breeding of young rabbits, and an inability to track which Does (females) are good mothers or which bucks are productive.
2. Poor Hygiene and Caging
Rabbits are highly susceptible to respiratory issues and parasites. Damp, poorly ventilated, or overcrowded cages encourage the rapid spread of diseases, mites, and flies.
The Fix: Cages should allow for adequate airflow and proper drainage.

3. Improper Feeding and Dehydration
A major cause of sudden kit or adult death is an unbalanced diet or water system failure.
Feeding young rabbits random greens or wet grass can cause fatal bloating.
The Fix: Stick to a reliable, pellet-and-hay diet.

4. Ignoring Health Management
Rabbits are prone to sudden illnesses, such as gastrointestinal stasis or viral hemorrhagic disease (RHD), which can devastate a herd overnight. . -quarantine incoming rabbits or skip basic deworming and vaccinations.
The Fix: Keep an emergency first-aid kit, establish a regular vaccination schedule, and strictly quarantine any new rabbits for at least 30 days before introducing them to the main rabbitry.
5. Lack of a Marketing Strategy
Production without a market is a primary reason the business side of a rabbitry fails. Farmers often fall into a production trap breeding extensively without securing buyers for meat, fur, manure, or pets beforehand.
The Fix: Market your products before the rabbits are fully grown. If you have one Rabbit sell that.Yiu don't have to have 100 to start selling.
Network with local restaurants, butchers, pet stores, or organic gardeners for manure sales to ensure steady revenue.
