Microsoft Apps for Business applies where you just need Microsoft Desktop Applications without the Exchange component. Outlook, Word, Excel and other desktop applications are licenced.

Microsoft Business Standard is the beast. With Business Standard, your desktop applications are licenced for the duration of the licence. It also comes with 50Gb per mailbox. With Business Standard there is increased productivity and you do not need to be online to use the apps, they are desktop installations usable offline.

Microsoft Business Basic is an excellent package for businesses who want to use Microsoft Applications but working on a budget. This licence allows the user 50Gb mailbox and Web versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. It also has Teams with its chat functionality and meeting capabilities for up to 300 attendees with Microsoft Teams. For your storage, there is 1Tb on your OneDrive Cloud storage. Sharepoint allows you to collaborate with others in your organisation.

Exchange Online Plan 2 comes with a bigger mailbox at 100Gb compared to the standard 50Gb. Added to that, the archive has 1.5Tb of storage. It also comes with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to manage and control your sensitive data protecting it from accidental or intentional loss such as sabotaging.
