Mount Pavilia Wedding and Conference Centre
Wedding and Events Manager/Coordinator
Mount Pavilia is a new wedding and function venue in Mazowe and is looking for an experienced, dedicated and passionate Wedding & Events Manager to join our team.
Mount Pavilia is a beautiful venue, situated in Mazowe along the Harare Bindura Road, only 38 km from Harare. It is a purpose-built wedding and events centre with landscaped gardens, multi-purpose modern glasshouse, gazebos and modern restaurant overlooking the Mazowe Valley and Dam area. Our back garden and over 500 seat pavilion, is available for hire during the day and at night with up to 1,000 person capacity. The venue has several modern designed gazebos with excellent views and beautiful walkways and gardens. We will host a variety of functions from weddings and engagements to birthdays and corporate events and dinners.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid knowledge of weddings, functions and hospitality. They will be passionate about food, beverages & hospitality with a fine attention to detail.
Successful applicants will have:
• Experience in coordinating weddings and events
• Function Management experience with a minimum of 5 years in the function management/hospitality industry
• Excellent customer service skills with charismatic ability to influence and negotiate successfully
• Excellent communication skills, presentation & attention to detail
• Extremely high levels of organization and management
• Ability to work a flexible roster including weekends & nights
• Have a proven ability to work both in a growing team and also independently

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Introducing & implementing strategies to increase sales in relations to events & functions
• Planning, coordinating and executing weddings and engagements
• Working within a broader Events Team assisting with the planning, coordinating and execution of a variety of functions including birthdays & corporate events
• Day to day operations in respect to all weddings, conferences, events functions and meetings
• Managing sales and enquiry process through customer management system
• Managing and coordinating staff leading up to and during event or function
• Understanding costs/profit margins on all events and functions
• Liaise, support and effectively communicate with all members of the Mount Pavilia team including management, executive chef, floor staff & other stakeholders
• Building relationships with clients and developing an understanding of their needs and requirements for a successful function/event

This is a wedding focused role and those with experience coordinating weddings are encouraged to apply.

Mount Pavilia is in a secluded area with spectacular view of a nearby dam, a valley and surrounding beautiful mountains. The venue is very accessible by main road and once completed, will have world class facilities and amenities.

Mount Pavilia Update on Opening Day.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, we are moving our opening day to 30 October 2021. The pandemic has impacted our supply chains and lockdown restrictions has also impacted construction on site. While we have now resumed construction, our pace is significantly slower down due to lack of construction equipment supplies.

We assure our prospective clients that we are building a world class facility that will include modern amenities and equipment. At Mount Pavilia , we believe in creating lasting memories, hence we don't take any shortcuts. Watch out this space as we unveil our dream events centre.
