Henry Murray School for the Deaf was established in 1947 at Pamushana Mission and later relocated to Morgenster Mission in 1948. The school enrolls learners from different Provinces of Zimbabwe and it offers hearing assessment & placement. The school offers primary curriculum like any other school for primary level and also vocational skills for post grade seven learners, these vocational skills include woodwork, metal work, home economics and agriculture. Currently the school has a total enrollments of 240 learners. The school is a boarding Primary School that offers accommodation and food to the learners.
Funding
1. Government (BEAM), over 90% of the learners are on BEAM this is because majority of the parents do not afford to pay school fees. As a matter of fact disability and poverty are congruent, Disability can be a result of poverty and poverty can be a result of disability.
2. Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (the responsible authority) contributes to the budget of the school.
3. Well wishers and individuals

- poor funding
- lack of adequate food
- high electricity and water bills
- lack of learning materials and assistive devices
The school has opportunites like its capacity to produce furniture but due to lack of funding its becoming a huge challenge.
