PUBLIC NOTICE!
As per Rural District Act [Chapter 29:13] read together with the Urban Council Act [ Chapter 29:15], Revised Edition 1996, Section 239(b), this serves to notify the public that Umguza Rural Council will be undertaking a Valuation Roll for Rating purposes for all residential and non-residential properties (i.e., residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional properties), within the Council's jurisdiction. The inspection exercise will be carried out by valuation officers from the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works as from the 13th of May 2024 to the 4th of June 2024 unless otherwise informed. All valuation officers will be positively identified by tags with Umguza Rural District Council logo and an official letter from Council duly stamped and signed.

Leaving no one and no place behind in keeping Umguza clean! Scenes from the clean up campaign held at Ticehurst, wards 8 and 9 by Umguza RDC with the support of stakeholders.

The national clean-up programme which was launched by His Excellency President Mnangagwa in December 2018 is based on moral persuasion urging all citizens to clean their environment between 8am and 10 am on the first Friday of every month.

The program inspires and empowers communities to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment themselves .The National Clean-Up Day exercise which is in the spirit of creating a clean, safe and healthy environment states that it is the duty of every individual across the country to clean their surrounding areas.

Umguza RDC with the support of and the Sweden International Development Agency officially opened the Ntabazinduna community led economic development with a goal of promoting gender inclusive local economic development in Zimbabwe.

The green house was officially commissioned on the 9th of February 2024 by the Minister of Local Government and Public works Hon. Winston Chitando.

The Horticulture project which is also known as Thuthukani Farming Project targets women, men and youth in need thereby serving as a source of employment which will reduce the cases of Gender Based Violence and drug & substance abuse.
