The National Health Financing Dialogue was a high level platform that brought together regional and national officials from government and civil society to engage on Domestic Resource Mobilisation for Health. In the 2025 National Budget, the Government of Zimbabwe allocated the Ministry of Health and Child Care ZiG28.3 billion (US$785.9 million) which represents 10.2% of the national budget. This falls far short of the Abuja Declaration target of 15% and is not sufficient to address Zimbabwe’s health care service delivery needs.

Lupane State University Medical Services Amendment Bill Public Hearing underway. The hearing took off two hours behind schedule.

Additionally, the university was not prepared for the hearing alleging that the Parliament of Zimbabwe had not confirmed its booking. This also affected public turn out.

The clear poor planning alienated university students who could have provided much needed views on age restrictions an area of huge influence on this demography.
